4 Fun Things To Do In Tampa
It was my first time visiting Tampa Bay and good thing I went with a group because I would have no idea what to do there. Turns out there is way more than I thought. I’m not sure I would ever find myself in Tampa again but between the amazing food and fun activities I really have become privy to it’s appeal. Here are some activities we did in Tampa that would be fun to do as a family, with friends or even solo!
CIGAR MAKING CLASS AT J.C. NEWMAN CIGAR CO
If you’ve never made cigars before this is a cool experience where they walk you through the process of making hand made cigars as well as teach you how to make your own.
CANDLE MAKING AT THE CANDLE POUR
This was a fun experience where you can choose your own scents and mix them together to make your own signature candle. They walk you through the process and help you along the way as you mix your scents with the melted wax. Be mindful if you are sensitive to smells because its a lot of smells happening here! When you’ve finished your candle they cure it and you are able to name it something special. This place is also great if you want to make a custom gift for someone.
COOKING CLASS AT THE EPICUREAN HOTEL
The Epicuren hotel offers cooking classes where you can cook with an actual chef. Because our group was large, we each had a station and cooked parts of the meal. Our theme was Southern with foods like chicken fried steak, collard greens, black eyed peas, fried green tomatoes and much more. Everything came out so good and the chef was really helpful in showing us how to cooking each meal properly. They had a charcuterie board we could graze on while we cooked and the wine and drinks were flowing. It was such a fun time and afterwards we got to eat a very tasty meal.
CHEESE MAKING CLASS AT CHEESOLOGY
I did not partake in cheese making because I don’t eat cheese but everyone in our group who participated loved it and said the cheese was so good. They made fresh mozerella cheese in the class from scratch. Sounds like a cheese lovers dream.
