3 Unique + Family Friendly Places To Stay In Iceland

Iceland in itself is a unique country. From its volcanic landscape, baby blue waters, geothermal hot springs, black sand beaches, northern lights, and so much more. You are guaranteed to experience a “first” when visiting this beautiful country. We have had the pleasure of visiting Iceland three times while staying in some interesting hotels and accommodations over the years. These three places take the cake so far, for being both family-friendly and unique stays on the island. We loved staying in these hotels and guarantee your family will love them too. With that being said, these places have an added bonus of being family-friendly, but they are still unique places to stay that we highly recommend, family or not.

Tower Suites Reykjavik

What makes it family-friendly?

  • Near the city center

  • Very walkable area

  • Complimentary breakfast every morning

  • Pull out couch in the room for kids to sleep

Why is it unique?

  • In this hotel, every room is a suite, and every suite has floor-to-ceiling windows and a 180-degree view of Iceland. Iceland does not have many high rises, so this is a rare view of the city and absolutely stunning to wake up to every morning.

Why is it unique?

  • Panorama Glass Lodge is just as described, it’s a glass lodge, meaning glass walls, glass ceiling, where you can have an uninterrupted scenic view of Iceland from the comfort of your bed. The best part, though, is that it makes it very easy to see the northern lights without leaving your room.
